The top 50 SNPs were replicated in an independent zileuton cohort and two additional cohorts of montelukast. In a combined analysis (discovery AND replication cohorts), patients with the AA genotype showed a significant reduction in mean FEV1 following zileuton treatment (-0.123L) as compared to the AG or GG genotype (mean 0.233L).
